BSNL Subscribers speak them most when one measures the number of outgoing minutes contributed by cellular subscribers leaving Airtel and Vodafone-Hutch-Essar behind in the race. Reliance Infocomm comes close second to BSNL.
In a study by TRAI, it is found that BSNL subscribers have the highest minutes of mobile usage across 10 states which include – Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh [East and West], Rajasthan, Orissa, Assam and Tamilnadu. Now wondering how BSNL is supreme ? Most of these states are backward and BSNL with its ambitious One India plan extended coverage in these states first and Reliance Communications followed. Thus subscribers in these backward states have no choice of communication but live with BSNL.
Airtel and Vodafone-Hutch-Essar rule the mobile usage survey in the forward and educated circles of Karnataka, Gujarat Punjab, Mumbai and Delhi.
