We are talking of Telecom revolution in India and boasting about lowest rates in India. But everything is coming at some cost. Poor QoS and customer service, lack of security and incompatibility between operators. What ? Yes did you know that Toll Free calling is incompatible between telecom service providers. If a company provides a 1-800 Toll Free number, then you can’t dial the same from your Bharti-Airtel phone and you have to call from your BSNL or MTNL land phone only. Strange? It sucks big time!!!
If such small issues can’t be taken care off, are the Indian telcos ready for Number Portability which is a far more complex issue to deal with ?
