  1. Thease big companies first lure cutomers offering good services for a value money but dont put up the required infrastructre in place and cheat customers. whatever we buy now will be just waste of money.

  2. BSNL 3G Data connection really sucks. Customer service is so pathetic, they don’t understand any thing, dumb asses. I recommend not to go for BSNL..

  3. There is difference between 3G and 3.5G
I was given a Capitel Communications Modem. not the one shown in picture here.

Overall, 3G in Bangalore is working good.
youtube videos sometimes get stuck after initial 10-15 secs.

In Bangalore, BSNL 3G with Capitel Communications Modem (Rs.2500) unlimited monthly approx Rs.750/- gives
download speed upto 202kbps checked with Download Accelerator

    speedtest.net tests showed:
0.7mbps download speed, Bangalore to Newyork
    0.1mbps upload speed.

It disconnected once after about 4 hours of surfing.
    I had to reconnect.

    Modem gets a little hot.

One more thing, Computer Networking Forensic Experts would like to investigate:

DNS lookups obtained from BSNL’s 3G service are different from OpenDNS and other DNS Servers worldwide even after several hours.

This indicates, man in middle monitoring or compromised DNS servers like scenario by BSNL.

Can anyone give some information on this?
    Did Any one notice this?

    Overall 3G is Ok.
    Good Start by BSNL.
    Good for Customers.

  7. Hi All,
I want to know the download speeds in BSNL’s 3G
card for wireless broadband in Bangalore (preferably near majestic area). In the website and
their shops theyt say its upto 3.1 to 7.2 Mbps
depending on the type of device and area.
Assume we have a device which supports 3.1 Mbps,
and a good coverage, then what can be the download speed…?
Does it come more than 150 to 200 KBps(for file download) in the worst case? What is the lowest speed and best speed experienced in your respective areas..?

If possible please reply to my id mohammedbit@gmail.com.

    Thanks in advance.
