This is probably the first time that you are seeing the revenue comparison of all the major Wireless Operators in India. [Vodafone India’s breakup were not available in the past since its not a listed company]
All figures in Rs Million. For Period Apr-1-08 to June-30-08
Top 5 Wireless Operators based on Q1 FY09 Revenues are,
- Bharti Airtel – 76,493
- Vodafone India – 45,721
- Reliance Communications – 31,486
- BSNL – 22,898
- Idea Cellular – 22,029
It is really surprising to see that Vodafone India with operations in 18 circles and heavily dependent on Mobile Services is beating RCom an integrated Telecom player with International presence. The worst performer is the Government Owned BSNL which has the highest spectrum for operations as well as the largest copper land line network for DSL broadband.
Update: The chart shows only Revenues from Wireless Operations [GSM or CDMA or Both] Sorry, by referring to Integrated Telco it confused some readers.
