If you read this post about National Do Not Call Registry, then you probably think really high about TRAI and the IT Ministry. Its time to paint them in Black & White. TRAI’s intentions are good but is terrible in execution. Well, that’s the fate of most Government organizations in India otherwise why are we still an emerging economy after 60 years of independence ?
Coming back to NDNCRegistry, people write it as a Joke 🙂 They aren’t wrong. TRAI employees don’t know how to design and engineer a product / process. TRAI folks should read the newspaper and grab the term “outsource” from newspapers. TRAI website was hacked and their e-mails have never worked for me.
An octogenarian complains to me that the numbers published by TRAI for the Do Not Call Registry don’t work at all. This elderly person is fed up with the service of MTNL in Mumbai. I decided to take this matter with TRAI and as usual Mr. Sudhir Gupta’s[ Architect of NDNCRegistry] e-mail bounce back within seconds.
The problem is not with just TRAI. I wrote to the Minsitry of Corporate Affairs [MCA] requesting details about MONOPOLIES AND RESTRICTIVE TRADE PRACTICE COMMISSION [MRTPC] but in vain. Mr. Premchand Gupta, Honorable Minister of Corporate Affairs should be ashamed of himself to issue full page advertisements about MCA, when they can’t reply to a simple online query.
